Danielle Boudreau
Danielle Boudreau is an emerging self-taught artist from Moncton, New Brunswick, working primarily in acrylics, oils, and other mixed media such as beading and collage. She often depicts maximalist still lives with bold color palettes and a mix of tight, crisp lines, and impressionist brush strokes in her work. Her work is inspired by the surroundings she curates – still life with often overflowing plants and flowers, fruit and vegetables, household objects, patterned textiles, and vintage dishware. Her pieces exude beauty and sentimentality, allowing the viewer insight into her romantic and nostalgic outlook on life. She treats her current work as she would an arrangement from her past as a floral designer where color harmony, compositional balance and depth are her main focus.
