Rising Star: Vivien Klára Juhász

About me

Vivien Klára Juhász was born in 1998 in Debrecen, Hungary (Her current residence is Sweden). In 2017 she took her final exam in painting at the Fine Art department of Secondary School of Arts Pécs. She also finished a basic course in web design. Since 2013, she has tried herself in many fields of the arts and participated in various national and international exhibitions and competitions.

My Work

My artworks are my visual poems, I try to narrate my life like a diary through pictures, videos, sounds, colors and notes. Happy moments, difficulties, emotions and connections appear in my compositions. I mostly do photography and painting but I like to experiment and try new artistic directions, which can be seen on my work. I am a young and new mom so my recent project is a collage series using my own photos of our life as a family. My pictures represent the happy and playful, yet sometimes extremely hard moments of motherhood. After three positive pregnancy tests, and many challenging milestones like the first weaning or the first illness, I already had dozens of photos that document our intimate moments. My visual stories are fed from these photos and also my experience in painting and webdesign. I use post-it papers and adhesive tape as paints and my photos as illustrations. My simple printer is my whole darkroom. Because I am not only an artist, but also a mother, I maneuver between duty and free creation. With this technique I process the days that goes so fast and I create a place in my mind where time is not a thing.
