Rising Star: Mark Milazzo

About Me

I have always been an artist since a child, having made clay art, paper art, mixed media art and more but never fully immersed myself as I have with analog collage and since only 2020. I produce 30-60 pcs every week and have close to 3500 pieces of art that take up some space but I love it! Analog Collage has captured my attention!

Statement

I create analog collage (nothing digital), utilizing old paper, whether magazines, books or just paper. My art is led by what book or books I happen to have open at the time. I want the viewer to feel something, whether a thought from a childhood memory or a fleeting thought when they look at my art. I create often and very quickly but a series might present itself in 2 or 3 pieces at once, or 7-11 pieces. I may comeback to a smaller series from time to time. I am drawn to the freedom and randomness of collage! Very abstract, at times surreal and my only thoughts are to CREATE, INSPIRE and REPEAT!
