All Eyes On: Florencia Dacunto

About Me

I am Florencia Dacunto, a collagist, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I cut out and take apart images to compose new stories that generally talk about women, children, motherhood and mandates. In an aesthetic and loving way I talk about the most brutal of us and society. I find it interesting to work with old papers, with history forgotten, recovering those images, touching and feeling textures and smells, rearming them into new meanings to question those who want to see me and recognize themselves in my art.
