Dear artist,

thank you so much for your interest in our open call and being part of our platform.
Before applying, please read the following information:

What?

Feature in our next print issues, scheduled to be published in July and August 2023. Features are in between 2 and 4 pages long and will include at least two pictures of your work & your artist bio, statement, website & social media handle. We’ll also select artists for interview with us. Interviews are in between 4 and 10 pages long.

Who can apply?

This call for artists is open internationally for everybody who is 18 years or older. We accept most forms of visual art, such as painting, drawing, illustration, photography, sculpture, installation, printmaking, performance/video.

How to apply?

– Fill out the form below and
– send a maximum of 6 works to submissions@suboartmagazine.com, subject: PRINT JULY/AUGUST

Picture information:

Pictures must be high resolution (preferably 300 dpi & 31 cm on the longer side), in JPG or png (no .heic or tiff)
Pictures must be named: First Name_Last Name_Title_Year_Technique_Size
Pictures must only show the artwork, no frames or brack ground, no watermarks

Pictures may be sent:
– attached to the email
– DropBox
– WeTransfer
– Google Drive

For artists submitting videos or videos of performances, please submit still images.

Application Fees:

No submission fee to apply to this open call.
In case you are selected, there is a non-refundable publication fee of 20€ (22$ USD) that will include a free digital copy of the magazine as a PDF. The publication fee doesn’t include a free printed copy of the magazine.

What else?

We’ll waive the publishing fee for in between 1 and 5 selected artist, who’ll be notified of the decision via email
The print issue will be available for purchase internationally via print on demand
We will share all selected artist’s works on our Instagram page via posts, stories, or reels

We will get back to all participating artists with our final decision until May 28th.
