We’re currently looking for artists to be featured in our categories “All Eyes On” and “Rising Stars” in our Online Magazine on the Suboart Website, as well as artists interested in participating in an Instagram Live interview with our colleague Fola Harold.

Alternative gazes on the body and on desire

Exhibition in Barcelona, May & June 2023. We were looking for works that question the conventional male gaze and imagine new ways of seeing and looking at the body, and that open a door for new, subversive representations of the human figure and desire.

Call for Print Issue #2

Grateful for the huge interest in our magazine and the incredible number of 800 applications, we closed this call on January 24th and have already started to design our upcoming print issue that will be released in March 2023.

November 2022

Amazed by the number and quality of entries received, we had a truly hard time making our selection. We’re proud to say that from more than 300 entries, we chose an incredible number of 137, as we didn’t want to leave any amazing artist out! We started to upload the features and interviews in December 2022 and we’ll continue their publication through 2023 in our online magazine.

August 2022

Overwhelmed by the positive responses to our first open call, we chose approximately 40 emerging artists from 4 continents to collaborate with us for our features and interviews that were released during the months of September, October and November of 2022. Visit some of our features here.

2021/2022

In our first one and a half years, open calls were ongoing and artists were invited to submit on a regular basis. From this open exchange, several fruitful interviews were born.
