Applications for Print Issues July and August 2023 shell be done on https://suboartmagazine.com/call-for-artists-print-july-august-2023/ via the application form.
Artists must fill out the form correctly and stick to the maximum word count.
To complete the submission, an email with a maximum of 6 images shell be sent to submissions@suboartmagazine.com. All submitted pictures must be high resolution, ideally 300 dpi. Pictures must be cropped so that only the artwork is visible. Furthermore, the pictures may not be blurred or pixeled.
The length of an artist feature in the print issues July & August 2023 will be in between 2 & 4 pages & will include at least two pictures of the artist’s works, plus their artist bio, statement, website & social media handle.
We will use the biography and statement that the artist submitted during their application via the form.
The last day to apply to this open call for is May 21st 2023, 11:59 pm EST.
Artists who have applied before to Suboart Magazine may apply again.
Artists who have been featured online on Suboart Magazine may apply to this open call.
No application fee is charged to apply to this open call.
If an artist is selected a non-refundable publication fee of 20€ (USD 22$) will be charged.
Payment will be possible through PayPal and Credit Card, and via other payment methods upon request. Any additional fees that may be charged by the payment institutions will be needed to be paid by the artist.
The non-refundable publication fee guarantees the artist’s spot in the print issue and the fee also includes a free PDF copy of the magazine they will be featured in. The publication fee doesn’t guarantee a free printed copy of the magazine.
The Print Issue will be available for purchase through our website.
Issues July & August 2023 are scheduled to be released in July and August 2023. In case they won’t be released in July & August 2023, they will be released in one of the following months.
In case of unforeseen circumstances that will prevent Suboart Magazine from publishing the print issues July and August 2023 during the year of 2023, the publication fee will be refunded to the respective artists in January 2024.
By submitting to this open call, you are granting Suboart Magazine the non-exclusive right to publish the work in its submitted form on our website, publication (online or print), social media channels, newsletter.
We reserve the right to edit all written content submitted (artist bios, artist statement, etc.) for grammar/ spelling/ formatting, without changing the content of your writing.
We reserve the right to shorten the submitted biographies and statements if they exceed the limit of 150 words each.
By submitting to Suboart Magazine you are confirming that you are the creator of the submitted works, and that you own the rights to the submitted works.
Submitting for another person is not allowed.
We reserve the right to disregard all incorrect submissions.
Participating in this call for artists doesn’t guarantee being selected.
In the case of too many applications, we reserve the right to close the open call before May 21, 2023.
We respect your privacy and your email address will never be shared with any third parties.
