Applications for Print Issue #2 shell be done on https://suboartmagazine.com/call-for-artists-print-1 via the application form. Print Issue #2 is scheduled to be released in March 2023. In case it won’t be released in March 2023, it will be released in one of the following months.
The length of an artist feature in Print Issue #2 will be in between 2 & 4 pages & will include at least one picture of your work & information about yourself (artist bio, statement, website & social media handle).
The last day to apply to this open call for Print Issue #2 is January 24, 2023.
No application fee is charged to apply to this open call for Print Issue #2
In case you are selected, we’ll get in touch with you via email within 2 weeks after the deadline and we’ll ask you to send us high resolution pictures of your works that will, without exception, need to fulfil the following condition: 300 dpi & no less than 30 cm in height on the longer side of the image. Furthermore, the pictures may not be blurred or pixeled. We’ll also ask you to send us your artist bio and statement (or the two of them put together in one piece of text).
Once we receive your pictures and artist statement/bio upon selection, and after verifying that the quality of the pictures is good enough for the print issue, we’ll send you an email stating that we’d like to include at least one of your works in Print Issue #1 and that, for that purpose, you’ll need to pay a administrative fee of 20€ (or 20$ in case you live in the United States) in case you’d like to be published in our print issue. Payment will be possible via Paypal as well as via other payment methods upon request and we’ll provide more information regarding the payment in an email to you. Furthermore, the artist will need to pay any additional fees that may be charged by the payment institutions, in case they are applicable (for example: transaction fees, etc.)
The administrative fee will include a free digital version of Print Issue #2 as PDF, that we’ll send to you once published.
The administrative fee will not include a free print issue.
The Print Issue will be available for purchase.
In case of unforeseen circumstances that will prevent Suboart Magazine from publishing Print Issue #2 during the year of 2023, the administrative fee will be refunded to the respective artists in January 2024, at the latest.
By submitting to this open call, you are granting Suboart Magazine the non-exclusive right to publish the work in its submitted form on our website, publication (online or print), social media channels, newsletter
We reserve the right to edit all written content submitted (artist bios, artist statement, etc.) for grammar/ spelling/ formatting, without changing the content of your writing.
By submitting to Suboart Magazine you are confirming that you are the creator of the submitted works, and that you own the rights to the submitted works.
Submitting for another person is not allowed.
