About Vibrant Cuckoo
Led by positivity, guided by colour, I am a Singapore based mixed media artist exploring contemporary art materials to achieve striking colour combinations. Born in Moscow, Russia, I moved to Singapore 8 years ago. I predominantly work in figurative style using various media, such as watercolour, ink and acrylics. My portfolio features paintings of various sizes, including large ones, with the largest so far measuring 320 by 150 cm. My art has been exhibited both internationally and locally in Singapore.
Driven by desire to bring positivity and joy to the viewer, I intentionally introduce playful elements and use vibrant colours. Each painting tells a story however a smile is the first and foremost reaction that I am after. We can’t change most of the things in the crazy world we live in, but we can provide light, turn negative into positive. My mission is to make a person standing in front of my painting smile, at least for a split second.

Story about a girl who wants to be a princess.
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Beth who dreamed of becoming a princess. She spent most of her days reading fairy tales and watching Disney movies, fascinated by the elegance and beauty of the princesses she saw on screen. But everyone around tried to convince her that being a princess was just a fantasy and that she should focus on more practical things. But Beth couldn’t shake off the dream of living in a grand castle, wearing beautiful dresses, and having her own prince charming. One day, Beth was invited to a ball, in a castle, her dream came true.

Beth knew exactly what she wanted to wear, a princess costume, complete with a tiara and a sparkly gown. Beth was over the moon with excitement, and she spent the next few weeks practicing her royal wave and perfecting her princess persona.
On the day of the ball, Beth arrived at the castle without sparkly gown as she didn’t have means to buy it, instead of tiara she had a paper crown from last year’s Christmas cracker and instead of Prince Charming she was hugging her faithful poodle Barbie.
As she walked through the halls, she noticed how everyone was staring at her and whispering to each other. At first, Beth felt a bit self-conscious, but she soon realised that everyone was admiring her and how beautiful she looked.
Throughout the evening, Beth was the center of attention, with everyone wanting to take pictures with the beautiful princess and her poodle. Beth was living her dream, and she felt like nothing could ever bring her down.
Beth continued to dream of becoming a princess, knowing that anything was possible if she believed in herself.
