Welcome to my dream: Doreen Chew

Doreen Chew is a Malaysian-based surrealist artist, and is often driven by curiosity and dreams. Throughout her journey, she played many different roles; from a comic colourist, to a creative strategist; a designer, to a children’s book illustrator and an entrepreneur. But her calling was always to be an artist,  inviting all those that would care to venture into her world of the surreal. Her art is often a juxtaposition between mysterious dreamscapes and, sprinkles of brightness. She works primarily with oil and occasionally experiments with other mediums. Each piece is a fragment of her memory, both experienced and imagined, allowing viewers to create their own stories. Welcome to her dream.
